Darlene passed away peacefully at Curtis Memorial Hospital on Friday, November 20th, 2020 at 1:45 am surrounded by loved ones. Darlene was born September 5th, 1961 to Stella and William Young of Rocky Harbour. On August 12th, 1983 she married Murdock Pilgrim and then had three beautiful children. Over the years Darlene spent her time raising her three children, baking bread and knitting stockings. She leaves to mourn her husband of 37 years, Murdock; her son, Curtis; her daughter, Miranda (James); grandchildren, Lily and Bronson; sisters, Wanda, Dale (Milo) and Pearl (Keith) and many nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her parents, William and Stella Young; parents-in-law, John Wesley and Clara Elizabeth Pilgrim; son, Wesley Byron Pilgrim; brother, John Young and many more brother-in-laws and sister-in laws. The funeral service took place from the Bethel Pentecostal Church in St. Anthony on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Elliott officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, Funeral Director.
