Moore, Percy “Sonny” – 79, Oxford, passed away, Saturday, October 24th, 2020 in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Oxford, he was the son of the late Arthur “Floyd” and Dorothy (Rushton) Moore. In his younger years Sonny served in the Royal Canadian Navy, and later worked in Ontario and western Canada in construction and heavy equipment operation. Over the years he worked as a truck driver and mainly for Warren Keizer until recently due to his health. Sonny was former member of the Oxford Vol. Fire Dept.. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and his baby Chole. Sonny is survived by his wife, Lois O’Brien, children, Greg; Bob and Desiree; Lois’s, children; Corinne, Billy, Charlene and Collene; special cousins, Carol Embree and Kathryn Schlitt; aunts, Estella Rushton and Gloria Norton. Arrangements are in the care of MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Oxford (902-447-2930). A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Oxford. Condolences may be shared by visiting www.mmcfunerals.com
