Obituary of Olga Tisnic
Born in Fenwood, SK to Fred & Nellie Didur, the eldest of 6 children, Olga passed away peacefully in her 95th year.
She is survived by her daughters; Shirley (Bud) Walker of St. Agatha, ON & Sylvia (Murray) Kidd of Waterford, ON; grandsons; Jeff, Shaun, Tyler & Logan; great-grandchildren; Patrishia, Stuart and Asher. Also survived by her brother Laddy Didur of Portage La Prairie, MN; brothers-in-law, Les MacDonald & Ted Buchan; sister-in-law, Esther Tisnic. She will be fondly remembered by cousins, nieces & nephews.
Olga is predeceased by her husband, Thomas; her parents; her grand-daughter, Bernice; sisters, Sophie MacDonald & Nettie Buchan and brothers; Matt & John Didur.
After farming in Kenaston & Young, SK, a move to Saskatoon saw Olga working alongside Thomas at their service station, Super Service Station on Ave. C & 23rd St., from 1952-1968. She then started working as a Care Giver at the Sanatorium for several years. A long standing member of St. Thomas Wesley United Church from 1953 saw Olga serving on various committees and is remembered for her many pies, cupcakes & cinnamon buns made for Church Bake Sales & Bazaars.
A move to the Kitchener area enabled her to spend her last 2 years with Shirley & Sylvia. The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the Highview Residence staff that so generously gave of their love & care at a most fragile time of her life.
Internment & graveside service to be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Saskatoon, SK. on Thursday, October 22, 2020.
