Obituary of Nora Evelyn Arnold
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nora Evelyn Arnold on May 1, 2020 at her home at Quyon, Quebec at the age of 77.
Mother of Keith McIvor, Cynthia McIvor, Jason Brian Baldwin (Amal) and Lori Dawn Baldwin and grandmother of Justin and Julia.
Former spouse of the late Donald Baldwin. Predeceased by her parents, Edgar Henry Arnold and Dorothy Viola Milligan and her brothers Ernest Edgar Arnold and Richard (Dick) Charles Arnold (Shirley). Sister of Viola Katherine (Ted Turner), and brother Lesley James (Annette). She will be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends as well as her beloved companion, Norman Coyle.
Born May 25, 1942, in Fort McMurray, Alberta she grew up in Edmonton and moved to Winnipeg to start a family with her first husband, then later moving to the Ontario and the Quebec side with her second husband and had a great successful career with over 30 years at Scotiabank. After retirement, she became an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion and served her community with dedication. With a great interest in nature an amazing green thumb she had a passion for gardening and it gave her great joy, especially feeding the birds that would visit her porch. “Think Pink” was her favourite moto and loved supporting the Canadian Breast Cancer cause by collecting everything pink.
Due to current Covid-19 circumstances, a private family service will be held.
Celebration of Life to follow at a later date.
