With great sadness, we announce the passing of our dear mother Mary (Shych) Wenger on Friday, March 27, 2020, peacefully in her home in Montreal, QC. Born in Montreal to Sophia (Bilonizka) and Mykola Shych, graduate of McGill University Physiotherapy, member of St. Sophie’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, past President and member of Daughters of Ukraine. Loving wife of 53 years to Adolphe Wenger (1935 – 2019), cherished Mama to Peter (Hania) and Elaine (Austin), proud Baba to Katia and Michael Wenger and Matthew Persico. Also left to mourn are family and friends in Alberta and Toronto.
Due to the constraints surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private resting and funeral service will take place on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, for immediate family only. Burial will follow at Mount Royal Cemetery where she will rest next to her Love.
Donations are welcome at St. Sophie’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral or the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Dialysis Clinic.
