Morning Star
With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our darling, sweet daughter Michele ‘Morning Star’ Stephen on Tuesday July 7, 2020 at the age of 53 years.
Left to mourn her is her very best friend, Bryan Koenen; her parents, Klaus (Gerry) and Winona (Happy) Techentin; brother Paul; grandmother, Luci Techentin; aunt & uncle, Kristina & Ricky Smith of Nova Scotia; uncle & aunt, Werner & Melissa Techentin of Maryland, USA; aunts, Isle Dubovic of Calgary, Hela Morgner of Germany, Joyce Olson of Sioux Valley First Nation, Shirlee & Memory Merrick; uncle Ralph & aunt Florence all of Long Plain First Nation, MB; two pets, Doege & Buddy along with numerous cousins in Manitoba, Alberta, Nova Scotia and Germany. Michele is pre-deceased by Oma Inge Morgner of Germany; Opa Remi Techentin of Nova Scotia; grandmother & grandfather, Flora & Angus Merrick of Long Plain First Nation, MB; 5 uncles & 2 aunts.
Due to gathering restrictions, immediate family and close friends are invited to a Traditional Memorial Service at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Tuesday July 14, 2020 at 12:00 pm.
