Philippe, Mekayla (1997 – 2020)
The family announces with sorrow her death in Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday, November 10th, 2020 at the age of 23 years. Daughter of Normand Phillipe and of Nadia Thomson (née Tremblay). Loved by her second mom Liane Savignac and by her second dad Marc Savignac. Beloved grand-daughter of Manon Beaulieu, Gilles Delorme, Clément Savignac and Liliane Savignac. Sister of Seth Virtue, Braydon Thomson, Elie Savignac (Denise Coulombe), Céline Savignac (Jean Deschatelets) and Jen Leclair (Sylvain). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews Caleb, Léa, Natasha, Vincent, Sébastien and Noé. Mekayla loved music, dancing, cooking and doing crafts but she loved, most of all, giving cuddles.The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Morrison, Dr. Bourgault, the staff at the West Nipissing General Hospital, the Deaf and Blind Association and One Kids Place for all the care given to Mekayla over the years. Special thanks to her extended family at Community Living. The family will receive friends at Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, Friday, November 20th, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.. Donations to Community Living West Nipissing would be appreciated.
La famille annonce avec regret son décès survenu à Sturgeon Falls, le mardi 10 novembre, 2020 à l’âge de 23 ans. Fille de Normand Phillipe et de Nadia Thomson (née Tremblay). Adorée par sa deuxième mère Liane Savignac et par son deuxière père Marc Savignac. Petite-fille chérie de Manon Beaulieu, Gilles Delorme, Clément Savignac et Liliane Savignac. Soeur de Seth Virtue, Braydon Thomson, Elie Savignac (Denise Coulombe), Céline Savignac (Jean Deschatelets) et Jen Leclair (Sylvain). Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses neveux et nièces Caleb, Léa, Natasha, Vincent, Sébastien et Noé. Mekayla aimait la musique, danser, faire de la cuisson et l’artisanat mais elle aimait surtout donner des câlins. Sincères remerciements Dr. Morrison, Dr. Bourgault, le personnel de l’Hôpital Général de Nipissing Ouest, le service Ontarien de la Surdicécité et La Place des Enfants pour les excellents soins prodigués. Un merci très spécial à l’Intégration Communautaire de Nipissing Ouest. La famille recevra parents et amis au salon funéraire Theoret-Bourgeois, Sturgeon Falls, le vendredi 20 novembre, 2020 de 14h00 à 16h00.
