Obituary of Mary Elliott
It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Mary Ilean Elliott.
Mary Ilean passed away peacefully on the evening of September 25, 2020 at the Timmins and District Hospital, at the age of 85 after a gradual decline in her health.
Mary Ilean was born in The Gaspésie, or Gaspé Peninsula, Quebec to May and Ivan Moreau on March 29, 1935.
Mary Ilean loved life. She modelled strength and used humour to connect with those who were lucky enough to cross her path. Her friends and family share fond memories of times at the lake, picking blueberries, enjoying long walks and watching her ride off into the sunset on her motorcycle.
Mary Ilean was talented at many things including knitting, cooking, playing cards and forecasting the weather.
Her laughter rings forever through the hearts of those who love her.
Beloved wife of late William (Bill) Elliott (2004) and companion of late Dennis (2020)Loving mother survived by her sons Ivan (Carolyn) and Terry (Marlene), Caren Elliott and grandchildren Sharron (Dean), Shannon, Geraldine (Franklin), Theresa, and great-grandchildren Kaylyn,Terrace, Payton, Hayleigh, Elliott, Rose, Alder and Juniper.
As per Mary’s request, cremation was held and no visitation or service will take place.
