Mary Ann Wellings Burton D’Eon 19332020

Mary Ann (Wellings) (Burton) D’Eon

Mary Ann (Wellings) (Burton) D’Eon was born in
Saint John, NB on October 10, 1933. She grew up in Saint
John and Windsor, Ontario, graduating from St. Mary’s
Academy and Assumption College. In her life, Mary Ann worked
as a lab tech, retailer, and a school secretary at Berwick and
District School. She was a talented quilter and cook and
enjoyed travelling with Cleo. Mary Ann is survived by the love of her
life, Cleophas “Cleo” Francois D’Eon and
his beautiful Acadian family; children, Christopher (Erin), Mardi
(Colin), Gregory (Kim), Julianne, Philip (Christine), John (Beverley),
sibling-cousins, Paul and Kathy, and the King family. Nana loved her
grandchildren, Gregory (Tessa), Isaac, Erich, Emily, Joseph (Kirsty),
Thomas, Seth, Aaron (Renee), Haley, Luke, Caroline, Carmen, Bridgett,
Marlo, and her new great-grandbaby, Linus Cleophas. Mary Ann had good
times with life-long friends, Lisa, Joanne and Janet, and many Nova
Scotia friends including, in recent years, the Thursday afternoon
group. Cleo and family are grateful to Dr. Judith Puetz, VON, Senior
Homecare by Angels and Larry’s Pharmacy. Cremation
has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. Due to
the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions, a celebration of life
will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please
make donations to Berwick and District School music or school food
programs. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral
Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
