Marlin Wilson Urquhart, husband of Villa (Hamilton) Urquhart of BridgeView Hall, Miramichi, passed away at his residence on Friday, July 3rd at the age of 83. Born in Wayerton, NB, Marlin was the son of the late Ruby (Urquhart) Hosford.
Marlin was a mechanic by trade and an Adherent of The Point Church.
Besides his wife Villa, Marlin is survived by two sons: Harvey Urquhart (Kristy Richard) and Ross Urquhart (Renee), both of Miramichi, NB; three half-sisters: Verna Vataja (late Ray), Winona Hosford and Trenda Hosford, all of Ontario; five grandchildren: Courtney (Joey) Dignam, Rachel, Christopher, Justin and Meghan Urquhart; two great grandchildren: Rowan and Phoebe Dignam as well as several nieces and nephews.
Marlin is predeceased by his mother: Ruby (Urquhart) Hosford; step father: Walter Hosford; grandparents: Harvey and Vern Urquhart (by whom he was raised) and half-brother: Terry Hosford.
Due to Covid 19, a private family funeral service will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place in the Miramichi Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, in Marlin’s memory, donations may be made to NSER Alumni or a memorial of one’s choice.
