Obituary of Marlene Phillips
PHILLIPS: Marlene (nee Bellinger) –
A lifelong resident of Chatham, Marlene Phillips passed away at the Riverview Gardens on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the age of 85.
Born in Chatham, Marlene was the daughter of the late Russell and Bertha Bellinger (nee Soper).
Beloved wife of the late James Ray Phillips (2003).
Loving mother of James Russell Phillips of Chatham.
Proud Grandma of Tara Carpenter and Brent Phillips (Jill), both of Chatham.
Great-Grandma to Tyler Carpenter, Caleb Phillips and Emma Phillips.
Dear sister to Edith Cook (late George) of Tilbury, Mary Bellinger of Chatham and Ruth Tuck (Bob) of Chatham.
Predeceased by her siblings Don Bellinger (late Doreen) and Anna Payne (late Chestle).
Sister-in-law to Ralph Phillips (Dorothy) and the late Allen Phillips (Marjorie).
Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Marlene loved scrapbooking and playing the piano.
Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 with a Funeral Service to follow. Those hoping to attend the Visitation or Funeral Service are required to register online at ( signup.com/go/RDrTUSp ) or by phoning the funeral home at 519-351-2040. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario have mandated that everyone attending must wear a mask.
Donations made in memory of Marlene to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
