Obituary
Marlene Penny Gouldie passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer on August 24th, 2020.
She is survived by her loving family; husband Bruce, son Locke (Kara), daughter Hahn, mother Norma, two beautiful grandchildren and many more extended family members. She was predeceased by her father Stan, brother Reg and sister Sandi.
Marlene was an incredibly kind, selfless and thoughtful person. She gave all to those around her and taught us all to be more patient and loving. Marlene will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving mother, daughter, wife, nana and friend. She was keenly interested in animal welfare and environmental preservation. She got great joy out of travelling, gardening, political discussions and her beloved kitty, Mitzi.
A celebration of life will be held next year when large gatherings are once again permitted.
Marlene has requested that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Nature Conservancy of Canada, the World Wildlife Fund or the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation.
Arrangements are in the care of Everden Rust Funeral Services & Crematorium,
West Kelowna Arrangement Centre (250-768-8925).
