Obituary of Marilyn Freeman
FREEMAN- Marilyn Anne Freeman (nee Harris) of London, passed away surrounded by her family at London Health Sciences Centre-Victoria Campus on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at the age of 81. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband Raymond; by her daughter Heather (David) Newton and their children Daniel and Lindsay of Strathroy; her son Paul (Charlene) Freeman and his children Taylor and Carter of St. Thomas; by her sisters Cheryl (Frank) Exley of St. Thomas and Margaret (Don) Miller of Montana; and by her nieces and nephews Steven and David Exley and Nicole, Jan and Michael Miller. Marilyn’s pride and joy were her family. She also enjoyed playing music and singing in the church choir, as well as being a dedicated volunteer at long-term care facilities like Metcalfe Gardens, Valleyview Home and Caressant Care. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 pm. COVID-19 protocols will be implemented. A private funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday. Cremation to follow. Interment of ashes will take place in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery on a later date. If desired, donations to the Oakridge Presbyterian Church or World Vision would be appreciated.
