Peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side on Thursday July 2, 2020 at the age of 89 years. Margaret Simpson (nee Murphy) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Bob Simpson. Loved mother of Bruce Simpson (Barbara), Belleville, Susan Simpson, Toronto, Barbara MacLellan (Joe), Pembroke, and Jason Simpson (Nicole), Belleville. Loving grandmother to Lisa and Justin MacLellan, Robert and Vanessa Simpson, Jack and Thomas Simpson and great grandchildren Matthew, Taylor, Danielle, Sebastian and Ash MacLellan. Predeceased by her brothers Willard Murphy (late June), Gordon Murphy and sister Eileen Daly (late Dennis). Sister-in-law to Phyllis Murphy. Daughter of the late Leonard and Esther (nee Hoffman) Murphy. Friends are invited to share their memories of Margaret with her family during visitation at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Tuesday July 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday July 7th in St. Columbkille’s Cathedral, Pembroke at 1:30 p.m. DUE TO THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS OF COVID-19 MANDATES, A LIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE ARE PERMITTED IN THE FUNERAL HOME AT ANY GIVEN TIME – FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND VISITATION AND FUNERAL MASS. Please feel free to bring your own face mask or one will be supplied to you at the Funeral Home. (Please call the funeral home at 613-735-5711 if you wish to attend the visitation or Funeral. An appointment time will be arranged) Interment St. Columba’s Cemetery. In memory of Margaret donations to Bernadette McCann House or Robbie Deans Centre would be appreciated.
