Manuelita Magapan Martinez
1925 – 2020
It is with heavy hearts and sadness the family announces the passing of Manuelita Magapan Martinez on October 21, 2020, in the comfort of her home, at the age of 95 years.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters Magdalena (Lhen) Aliasut (Feliciano, grandchildren Maricar (Brendan) and Nikko (Anne)); Rebecca (Vhick) Almagro (Benjamin, grandchild Alvin); Evangeline (Vangie) Tomas (Ricardo, grandchildren Emanuelito (Eman), Rialine and Angel); Susana (Susan) Martinez; and daughter- in-law Nila Martinez (grandchildren Marlyn (great-grandchildren Jaimalyn, Jaecelyn, Hope, and Lynden) and Monalyn (Jimmy, great-grandchildren Mina and Nolan)). Manuelita was predeceased by her husband, Primo Martinez; her parents, brothers and sisters and son, Manuelito Martinez (Nila).
Manuelita’s family was her everything and she was very proud of all her grandchildren, especially being blessed with great-grandchildren. She often talked about the memories she had with all her family and friends, especially those in Canada and the Philippines. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Our sincere gratitude to her homecare staff for going above and beyond to make sure that our nanay was comfortable and for always listening to her concerns and needs. Thank you to all of our family and friends who have made so many memories for our nanay, which she will carry on with her forever.
A private viewing will be held for the immediate family, followed by a cremation. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date (post COVID).
