Mae (Stephenson) Morehouse
March 31, 1934 – July 11, 2020
Anna Mae Morehouse, wife of the late Leigh A. Morehouse passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at the age of 86.
Born in the former town of Chatham, NB on March 31, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Stewart) Stephenson.
Mae is survived by sons: Colin (Rachel) of Ottawa, ON, Neil (Alexandra) of Halifax, NS, Brent (Natalee) of Miramichi; and sister, Sally Davidson of Miramichi. She was “Grammie” to Ryan (Robin), Autumn (Genevieve), Alex (Zoe), MacKenzie, Kamryn, Nina, and Björn; and affectionately known as “G.G.” by great-granddaughter Sloane. Mae is also survived by special family friend, Michael Daigle. She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Elizabeth; sisters: Beulah, Eleanor, Clora, Lillian; and brothers: Hugh, Maxie, Bill, and George.
She was a Homemaker, Follower-of-God, Loyal Friend, Poet, Baker, Entertainer, and Volunteer.
So much to so many, above all a child of God and much loved!

At the family’s request, there will be no visitation. Due to COVID-19 regulations, a PRIVATE funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 188 Wellington St. Miramichi on Wednesday July 15th, 2020 at 2:30 PM with The Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating. It is suggested that a mask be worn upon entering and leaving the church. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Andrew’s United Church, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
