Obituary of Lois Bertha Steen
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mom, grandma and great-grandma “Loie” on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the of age 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband Robert “Chuck” Steen; brother George Cook and sisters, Shirley, Hazel and Jeannie. Lois is survived by her son, Tim and daughter, Kathy Fines; grandson Ben (Brittany) Fines; great-granddaughters, Ivy and Corallee; sisters-in-law, Joan Cook and Doreen Steen; brother-in-law, Bob Dewar; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was born in Regina, SK and was very involved in the community throughout her life. She was a member of the Scandinavian Club and Al-Anon. Lois was a long time parishioner of St. James Anglican Church and served for many years on the ACW. She loved spending time in nature and had a passion for making hats. Lois was very proud of her family and her greatest joy was spending time with them. Funeral Service will be held at St. James Anglican Church, 1105 Empress Street, Regina, SK, on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in RMG. Flowers most gratefully declined. Friends so wishing, may make donations in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of Saskatchewan INC., please specify “Designated for research,” 2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4P 3X1.
