Linda Gail Armstrong 1940 2020

Obituary of Linda Gail Armstrong
Linda of Calgary, AB, passed away on June 18, 2020 at the age of 79 years.
Linda was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on September 10, 1940. As a teen she moved to Richmond, BC. This is where she later met a young RCMP officer. They married and were together for 40 years until his passing in 2005.
Linda was always the care giver welcoming everyone into her home including many pets. She loved all animals and children and always said, “You can’t spoil them with too much love”.
Forever labeled the cool mom, then later Grandma she brought a smile to those who knew her. She wasn’t afraid of acting goofy which quickly made her a favorite at her care home. Even through her dementia she was never afraid to break out the rock kicks!
Her memory will live on in those lives she touched and will be greatly missed.
Linda is survived by her three daughters and their families, Lori (Shawn) Ashley and Megan; Cheryl (Darcy) Brianne and Cassidy; Sandra (Rob) Matthew.
At the request of the family there will be no public service.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to The Alzheimer Society of Calgary, 800, 7015 Macleod Trail S.W., Calgary, AB T2H 2K6, Telephone: (403)290-0110, www.alzheimercalgary.com. , or The Calgary Humane Society, 4455 – 110th Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2C 2T7, Telephone: (403)205-4455, www.calgaryhumane.ca.
