1933-2020
Lawrence Joseph Boucher – 87, of Aldershot,
Kings County, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 in
Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Shediac, NB,
he was a son of the late Edgar and Marie Ange (Abbott) Boucher.
Lawrence was a veteran of the Korean War. He later worked as a truck
driver delivering furnace oil for a number of companies. Lawrence
enjoyed gardening and wood carving. He was also a former member of the
Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville and the Kentville
Volunteer Fire Department. Lawrence is survived by his children, Betty
Moors of Clementsport and Brian (Joan Broussard) of Bedford;
sister-in-law, Betty Boucher, Ottawa; four grandchildren, Debbie
(Neil) Silver, Brandy Martin (Nate Eisner), Hilary (Shane) Murphy and
Mary Moors (Pierre Comeau); five great grandchildren, Erica, Evan,
Ein, Alex and Gavin. He was the last surviving member of his immediate
family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife,
Mary (Doucette); brothers, Paul, Leo and Lionel “Pete”;
son-in-law, Paul Moors. Cremation has taken place. There will be no
visitation. A public Royal Canadian Legion service and graveside
service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in the
Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville, Father John MacPherson officiating.
Please bring a chair if you wish to be seated during the
service. A webcasting of the service will be available at 11:00
a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2020 by visiting www.whitefamilyfuneralhome.com. Donations in memory may be made
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family would like to express
their sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the
Veteran’s Unit of Soldier’s Memorial Hospital for
the exceptional care provided to Lawrence. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
