Lawrence A. Gibson
1934 – 2020
Lawrence Albert Gibson, husband of Sydney (Radcliff) Gibson of Black River Bridge, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the age of 86.
Born in Auburnville, NB, he was the son of the late Albert and Marjorie (McLenaghan) Gibson. He was a machinist with Reliance Reeves in Stratford, ON. He was later owner and operator of Gibson General Store in Bay du Vin and worked for Forestry Service for 17 years.
He is survived by his wife Sydney Gibson; two daughters: Catherine Robichaud (Robert) of Fredericton and Deborah Gibson of Toronto; one step-son, Michael MacAulay (Melanie) of Miramichi; five grandchildren: Aadam, Aamir, Azeem, Reid and Lane; four great grandchildren; one brother Aubrey Gibson of Miramichi. He was predeceased by his parents and infant daughter Linda.
Public visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 7-9 pm. A private funeral service will be held at Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 12, 2020 with Derrick Carnahan officiating. Interment will be held in the Black River Community Cemetery.
Due to Covid 19, social distancing and the use of masks are mandatory.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
