Peacefully at the B.G.H. on Wednesday December 9th, 2020. Lammy Schapelhouman (nee Holtrop) age 93 years of Athens. Beloved wife of the late Johannes (Joe) Schapelhouman. Dear mother of Margje Bradley (Richard), Fred Schapelhouman (Susan), Johanna Blair (Kirk pre:), Hennie Schapelhouman (Darril Elliott), John Schapelhouman (Susan), and Henk Schapelhouman (Heather). Loving grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Sister of Anne Holtrop (Beverly), Binnie Holtrop (Jentje), and Leentje Faro (Arend). Predeceased by 1 brother and 2 sisters, Albert Holtrop, Grietje Linburg and Hennie Bakker. Also survived by a son-in-law, Peter Vanderlinden, and 2 sisters-in-law, Maryke Holtrop and Pietje Hoogeboom.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the Judson Funeral Home Athens, on Sunday December 13th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Private Family Service will be held in the chapel on Monday December 14th, at 10 a.m. Interment Roselawn Memorial Gardens Maitland. In memoriam’s to the Athens United Church or The Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
