Obituary of Kingsley Holmes
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Walter (Kingsley) Holmes age 87, of Hedgeville N.S. Kingsley left us peacefully on Nov 16, 2020 from the Pallative Care Unit in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, N.S. Born and raised in Hedgeville N.S., the son of the late Walter and Pearl (Heighton) Holmes, Kingsley spent many years as a respected School Bus driver in River John and worked for the Department of Highways until retirement. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie (MacDonald) his three daughters, Donna Patterson (Jimmy), Beverly Holmes (Eric MacDonald) and Heather Holmes; his son, Allan (Angela Cromwell) and his sister, Sharon Holmes, all from Pictou County. Kingsley also leaves behind, 8 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son, David. He will always be remembered for his good nature and his great love of gardening. A private graveside will held in Riverbank Cemetery, Toney River.
