July 6, 1953 – February 1, 2020
Ken Ebert passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2020 at the age of 66 years.
Ken was born in Jasper, Alberta and grew up in Prince George, British Columbia. He moved to Edmonton at 18 years of age to work in the Oil and Gas Industry. This was the start of a long career where he held many different positions in some of the most remote locations in northern Canada eventually bringing him to Grande Prairie where he has lived for the last 39 years. While working in Grande Prairie he spent 10 years working for Halliburton, 5 years as district manager for Nabors Production Services, and for the final 12 years of his career he worked as as a consultant. He was active within his community and was proudly named Oilman of the Year at the 2007 Peace Region Petroleum Show.
Ken will be lovingly remembered by his children Robin and Kevin, his sisters Liberty, Traci, Jennifer, and their children; and his best friend, ex-wife Lynn. Ken was known for being a proud and loving father and his many lifelong friends will remember him for his humour, integrity, and devotion.
