Ken Willmore 2020

Mr. Ken Willmore
At his home on Friday June 26th, 2020, Mr. Ken Willmore of Chatham in his 75th year. Cherished son of the late William and Lillian Willmore. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Peggy (Leatherdale). Loving father of Kent (Candice), Nicole Willmore-Huff (Ken), and Meri Kim Moco (Jeff). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Hunter Willmore, Lakyn Willmore, Lyndsey Noordam, Tim Huff (Amy), Zach Huff, Curtis Moco, Cruz Moco, and Cecilia Moco, and great granddaughter Marilyn Roy. Dear brother of William Willmore (Carol), Betty Bartlett (Chandra), Ivan Willmore (Martha), Muriel Wood. Predeceased by his sister Wilma Sharp (Murray). Ken Willmore was known by his friends, his family, and the community as a genuine, kind, and caring individual. He was one of the rare few to travel through life and leave a positive impression on everyone he encountered. He was unselfish, he cared deeply for his family and truly wanted the very best for everyone and everything. Ken was always known for his work ethic, his drive, determination, and his wonderful self-taught trade skills. He could do it all! He could fix anything, build anything and he always had the ability to visualize the solution to any mechanical problem. Growing up on a farm near Wabash Ontario, Ken learned to work hard from an early age and always loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends always made Ken the happiest man in the world. Later in life, together with his son, Ken took up the skill of flying and became a pilot. Ken did not stop there – he then went on to construct his own ultralight aircraft and built his own private runway and took to the skies. In addition to working as a farmer, Ken also volunteered with the Harwich Township Fire Department as a fireman for 25 years. Ken created several businesses in his time. Will-Dale Maple Products was established in 1989 and then Kens Lawn Care in the early 2000s was next on the list. Ken also was very much involved in his children’s endeavours and would constantly be helping them succeed. His desire to always look out for others was something that most will never forget about him. His willingness to always take time for a quiet conversation or to simply check in on people will always be remembered. He was a wonderful man, husband, father, brother, and friend. He was loved by his family and adored by his grandchildren. We are so happy knowing that Ken loved the Lord and that he is now in a much better place. We love you. Cremation has taken place.
