Death Notice
FITCHETT, Ken – After 13 years of battling Parkinson’s, Kenneth (Ken) Fitchett has passed on peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2020 in his 84th year. Predeceased by his mother, Bertha, father George, and siblings Mary Francis (Charlie), Carolyn, Larry (Sheena), and Ted. Will be sadly missed by his brother Don (Carol) and his daughters Karen and Jane (Jim) and his grandchildren Zach, Cassidy, Julia and Erin. Dear father-in-law to Chris. Will be missed by sister-in-laws, Susan and Faith. Favourite uncle to Andrew, Kim (Scott), and Mark (Debbie), Kate (Mike), Donald, and Ken, Gary (Hande), Nancy (Gord), Paul (Ellea), and Carolyn (Michelle), Amy and Jen (Wally). Cherished friend of Anita Hewitt. Fondly remembered by Ann Fitchett. Remembered by many of his close friends: Stew and Karen, Bruce and Mary Lois, Marlyn as well as the lunch group from Beck.
Ken was a well-loved history and economics teacher at Beck and Saunders Secondary Schools in London. He loved to travel and was active all his life, as an avid runner and a tennis, baseball and hockey player.
Interment to take place with immediate family at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. A funeral service and celebration of life will be held when circumstances allow. Donations in Ken’s memory to the Parkinson Society would be greatly appreciated. Condolences can be sent directly to the family at condolencesforkenfitchett@gmail.com

  1. My sympathy to you Karen and Jane and to your families. I am sorry for the loss of your dad.
    I have many wonderful memories of time spent with your family and just recently was browsing through a scrapbook with notes and pictures of times shared. May your memories be a comfort and keep your dad close to you.
