Obituary of Joy Taylor
Joy passed away peacefully at Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound, on Friday, October 9, 2020. Born in Kemble, Ontario, on May 30, 1932, Iva Joyce Taylor (née Waite) of Owen Sound, was in her 89th year.
Beloved wife of John Taylor for 66 years. Loving mother of Debbie Holmes (Lance) of Bass Lake and Randy Taylor (Marlene) of Kilsyth. Cherished Grandma of Rob (Kelly), Sandy (Josh), Travis (Amanda), Dylan (Ayla), and Great-Grandma of Taryn and Myles. Dear sister of Helen Smith of Owen Sound, and sister-in-law of Bill Lang of Owen Sound and Joan Penrose of Meaford. Joy will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Cym Waite, her sister Wilda Lang, and by her in-laws, Hap Smith, Gwen Mitchell (Roger), Norma Dawson (Rollie) and Doug Penrose.
Cremation is taking place and a private graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Owen Sound, on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Due to COVID19 restrictions, all attendees must wear a mask and follow social distancing rules. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
