Joseph Robert “Joe” Madore
1976-2020
Joseph Robert “Joe”
Madore – 44, Debert,
passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family and fur
babies, on Saturday morning, August 1, 2020, at home, following a nine
month hard fought battle with cancer. Born in Springhill, he was a son
of Narda (Patriquin) Madore, Pugwash, and the late Robert
Madore.
Joe worked at Polymer for 18 years and then with DBR
Resources, Waverley, at the time of his death. Joe loved spending time
with his wife, kids, family and friends, and we will long remember
hearing him tell a good (or bad) joke, sitting around a bonfire,
family trips to Cuba and Cape Breton, tinkering in the garage, hiking,
snowmobiling, four-wheeling and playing poker with the guys. Always up
on current fashion trends, Joe saw nothing wrong with wearing pyjamas
and slippers for any outing and would quite often end up in public
wearing his slippers. In typical Joe fashion, upon noticing this, he
would exclaim, “Well, I’m here
now!”
Along with his mother, Joe will be sadly missed and lovingly
remembered by his wife, Liza (Tarr); children, Matthew, Bailey;
siblings, Candace (Rob) Smith, Stittsville, Ontario; Mari Ann (John)
Stiles, Debert; Darcy Madore, Dartmouth; nieces and nephews, Jordan
(Jessica) Garbes, Riley Madore, Elizabeth Smith, Charlotte Smith;
several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Special thanks are extended to Joe’s employer for
their concern and support, our family and friends for your love and to
the VON and Palliative Care Team for your absolutely amazing and
wonderful care.
