MARYELLEN CLAIR JOHNSON passed away at Good Samaritans Park Meadows Village on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the age of 84 years.
MaryEllen is survived by her son, Norman (Jean) Johnson, grandchildren, Carrie (Travis), Nicole (Chad), Brandon, Angela and Jessica and great-grandchildren, Logan, Kylie, Jade and Natalie; daughter-in-law, Iris (Ken) and sister Devi (Brian) Herman as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by sons, Calvin, Lesley and Brian Johnson, grandson, Mark, parents, Stella Willison and Norman Livingston, stepfather, Walford Willison and her sons’ father, Dick Johnson and his parents, Viva and Edwin Johnson.
MaryEllen was born and raised in Lethbridge. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, and was also involved with St. Basil’s C.W.L, Secular Franciscan and Royal Purple. MaryEllen also sat on the board for Catholic Charities. She was helpful and kind to all of her friends and neighbours.
A Private Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Basil’s Catholic Church with Father Kevin Tumback celebrating.
MaryEllen will be laid to rest in Archmount Cemetery at a later date.
