ASHLEY, John Stewart
On Wednesday, July 8, 2020, John Ashley peacefully passed away at the family home in Trout Creek, Ontario surrounded by loving family. He was in his 67th year of life. Beloved husband of Debbie (Ludlow), much loved father of Aaron, and Papa to Mercedes and Austin. Dear brother of Donna-Lee Edlin (Wes), Debbie Murphy, and George Murphy. Predeceased by his parents Margaret Alice (Grady) and George Ambrose Murphy. John was a treasured son-in-law to Peggy and Tom Ludlow, and brother-in-law to Jill (Dave), Robin, Pam (Dan), Robert (Kerri) and uncle to Christopher (Sarah- Jane), Shyla, Ashley, Shelby, Cooper, Kristina, and Jessica. John was an avid recycler, our earths survival was very important to him. He loved to travel, was a history buff, and was a true Canadian. His most beloved hockey team The Toronto Maple Leafs. John recently retired from the Bombardier plant in North Bay where he worked as an Aircraft Structural Repair Technician, and also from the North Bay Montessori School were he wore many hats including custodian and Debbie’s right hand man. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in John’s memory be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or that we all increase our efforts to recycle.
