It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of John Leslie McBride. Loving husband of Catherine (nee Milloy) and cherished father of Jakob (Jake). Beloved son of parents John and Doreen McBride (nee Ridgewell). Dear brother of Sharon McBride (Marc Langille), John and Patty Young (nee McBride), Jacques and Cindy Patenaude (nee McBride) and Jeff and Sylvie McBride (nee Valois). Dear son-in-law to Margaret Milloy (the late Brian Milloy) and brother-in-law to Michael and Michelle Milloy of Oakville.
John will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and an abundance of friends
John (Les) lived every day to the fullest and his laugh was not only larger than life but highly contagious. Les will be deeply missed by all including the large brotherhood of Ottawa firefighters.
Les was happiest immersing himself in the world of golf, whether it was bending an iron or fitting high handicappers. His true joy was playing golf with Jake and watching Jake play in his golf tournaments.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions a private family service will be held, and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
Our sincerest thank you to our many friends, extended family and neighbors who have offered their compassion and support during this most difficult time.
