Obituary
On Saturday, September 26th, Henry passed on into the Spirit world at the age of 72.
He was born on Sandy Bay Anishinaabe First Nation. He attended Day school in his community in his formative years, and left when he married his first wife, Hilda Paul. Henry worked various jobs during his lifetime and was diagnosed with sugar diabetes which he maintained management of.
Due to his declining physical health, he suffered a limb amputation and had to rely on an electric scooter for his mobility. He remained positive and happy, always. His personality was known to be kind, humble and selfless and he lived a simple life.
Henry practiced traditional Anishinaabe spirituality most of his life, right up until he passed, and was known to help those who were less fortunate then he was all the time.
He was predeceased by his parents Margaret and Alexander Richard as well as siblings Paul, Marie, Joseph, Elizabeth and Beatrice.
Henry leaves behind with his passing; his brothers James and Edward. His sons, Albert and Henry James Richard, Barry and Jonathon Mousseau and daughter Cindy Swan. There are numerous grandchildren ,nephews, nieces and other family members .
