Obituary of Jean Borland Jardine
JARDINE, Jean Borland
It is with deep sadness that the family of Jean Jardine announce her peaceful passing on September 26, 2020 at the age of 98. Jean was born April 2, 1922 to William and Louena McKenzie and was raised on a farm near Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan. During World War II she served with the Royal Canadian Air Force as a secretary, stationed on the East coast. After the war, Jean met Donald Jardine and they were married in 1949. They had three children together and enjoyed 32 wonderful years of marriage before Donald’s early passing. Jean enjoyed baking, gardening, spending time with family, travelling and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She especially enjoyed the fall vacations with her siblings. Jean was predeceased by her husband Donald Jardine; siblings and their spouses, Hugh (Joan) Mckenzie, Bill (Rose) McKenzie, Mary (Duncan) Philip and Sandy (Peggy) McKenzie. She is survived by her children, Murray Jardine, Bruce (Bibiana) Jardine and Janice Ryan; grandchildren Shawn (Cheryl) Ryan, Stephanie (Evan) Mitchell and Heather Jardine; and great-grandchildren Luke, Isla, Emily, Jack and Isabelle. At Jean’s request, a private graveside service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Regina.
