Jaime Francisco Castaneda, , age 78, passed away peacefully at home, with family by his side, on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 4PM. Born in the Philippines on March 12, 1942, Jaime immigrated to Canada with his family in 1980 to live and work in Ottawa. Upon retirement, Jaime would enjoy spending the Canadian winters in a home that he built in the quiet region of Bicol in the Philippines. His true home, however remained in Ottawa where he loved spending time with his family above all.
Son of the late Elias Castaneda and Benita Francisco. Jaime is survived by his loving wife Erlinda (nee Briones), loving sons Jemiel (Julie), and James (Roselyn), and adoring daughter Lara Gonzalez (William). Cherished grandfather of Nicolas, Olivia, Elle, Jalyn, and Liam. Brother of Lucina, Amor, Ceasar, and the late Amelia, Flordeliz, Lydia and Samuel. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Ottawa and California. He will be forever loved and missed by all.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions, a limited visitation will be held. Please contact the family for details. Private funeral service to take place on Thursday, October 22nd at 11am. The funeral service will be available virtually though live stream on the funeral home website by using the Webcasting button on the left-hand side of the screen.
