Jack deBoer Thursday December 10th 2020

deBoer, Jack
Our hearts are heavy, but now Jack is healed and at peace, called home by his Heavenly Father on December 10, 2020 at the age of 76. Married for 55 years to the love of his life and his best friend, Niesje (Koekoek). Loving Father of Maurice and Frances, Peter and Robin, Marcia and Sean Cota and Steve and Lesley. Cherished Pake of Sarah (Grant), Aaron (Michelle), Jody (Alex), Jillian (Dan), Branden (Taylor) Jeremy, Nathan, Madeline, Samuel and Andrew. and Devoted Opa of Scarlett, Sawyer, Nora, and Jack. Brother and brother in law of John (Thea), Jane (Bert), Simon (Corrie), Jim (Reinie), Shirley, Alie (Marinus), Mary (Bill), Johanna (Gerry), Thea, Cope, Sharon, Thys, Clarence, Harry (Abby) and Jake. He was also loved by many Nieces and Nephews
Born in Sneek, Friesland, to Bouke and Pietje deBoer, Jack immigrated to Barrie, Ontario, Canada when he was 14 years old. His family settled in Brantford, then in 1976 he fulfilled his life-long dream of becoming a farmer when he and Niesje moved their young family to Cayuga. His love of farming was surpassed only by his love of family, faith and friends. Jack also worked at Haldimand Motors for 22 years.
A special Thank you to the ICU medical staff at St. Catharine’s hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. A special thanks to Debbie Kreuger for being the hands that held his when we couldn’t.
