It is with broken hearts that the family of the late ROSE FARRELL of Little Bay announces her passing. Rose passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Wednesday, October 28th, 2020 at the age of 64. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her husband Cyril of 44 years; son, Allan Flannigan of Marystown; brothers, Ronald Flannigan (Mary Greene) of Burin, Steve Flannigan (Jackie) of Marystown, Ernest Flannigan (Genevieve) of St. John’s, and Brian Flannigan (Yvonne Walsh) of St. John’s; sisters, Kathleen Stapleton (Joe) of Marystown, Mary Hillier (Cliff) of Marystown, and Margaret Hillier (Clarence) of St. Lawrence. Rose will be sadly missed by her Uncle Phil Pittman (Stella); Aunt Josephance Pittman; nieces; nephews; cousins; her darts group; member of the 50+ club; and especially her best friend, Rose Wakely.
Rose was predeceased by her parents, Allan and Martha Flannigan; nephew, Joey Stapleton; and niece, Martha Flannigan.
As per Rose’s wishes, cremation is to take place.
The Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes in Marystown on Monday, November 2nd and Tuesday, November 3rd from 12-4 pm and 6-9 pm
Due to the rules and regulations of COVID-19 this will be a walk through visitation and we can accommodate 20 visitors in the funeral home at one time. Please note that there is no food or beverages permitted in the funeral home as well.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Wednesday, November 4th at 10 am. Due to limited capacity because of the COVID–19 restrictions, for anyone wishing to attend, please contact the funeral home to add you name to the contact tracing sheet.
In Rose’s memory donations may be made to Chemotherapy Unit at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center
