The death of George Sherman “GS” Matchett special friend of Lois Genova of Sunny Corner, NB occurred on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the age of 81. Born in Sunny Corner, NB he was the son of the late Harry and Leona (Tozer) Matchett. George was a member of the Sunny Corner Lions Club.
George is survived by: four sisters: Edith Allison of Shannex-Losier Hall; Inez Langille, Vivian Card and Eunice Melnychuk all of Ontario; two brothers: Wendell and Jerry both of Ontario and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, George is predeceased by: sisters: Joy Mullin and Eileen Winger and brothers: Blair, James and Wesley Matchett.
A private family burial will take place in St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Cemetery, Boom Road, NB at a later date.
