Obituary of Frank Stanley Andrews
ANDREWS, Frank Stanley – age 93 of Stewiacke. Leaving us with treasured memories and hearts full of sadness, we the family of Frank Andrews, announce his passing on May 30, 2020 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Elmsvale, he was a son of the late Stanley and Jennie (Fulton) Andrews.
Frank retired in 1986 after a forty year career with the Department of Highways. Frank was a good family man who loved music, family gatherings, socializing with friends and going dancing with his wife, Joyce and helping her with crosswords. Not only was he handsome, he was handy and loved fixing things and tinkering in the garage.
Frank will be greatly missed as a wonderful, devoted husband by his wife of 66 years, Joyce; as the best father to his children, Margo (Doug) Andrews, Janette Jodrey, Kathy (Al) Cottreau, Shelley (Stephen) Smith; as Bumpy to seven grandchildren, Sallie (Chuck) McDonald, Amie Jodrey, Kyle (Samantha) Smith, Travis (Christie) Smith, Danielle (Alex) Smith, Katie (Jeff) Cottreau, Laura Cottreau; five great grandchildren, Dalan and Camryn McDonald, Rhett and Maddison Smith, and Tucker Smith; brother, Paul, Calgary, AB.
Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by brothers, Fulton and Arthur; Douglas in infancy; sisters, Rena, Blanche and Muriel.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. Due to current pandemic restrictions, the family will hold a quiet celebration of life at a later date.
