Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce Jim Horrigan of Edmonton AB passed away peacefully in his sleep, on April 10.
Jim was predeceased by his parents Francis and Eva, and siblings Anne, Catherine, and John. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his beloved wife of 63 years, Gloria, his children, Linda Horrigan, John Horrigan, Sharon Pater(Ben), all of Edmonton, and many nephews, nieces, friends and colleagues.
Born in Kingston, Jim moved to Ottawa where he met and married Gloria. He & his family moved several times from Ontario, across the prairies, until settling in Edmonton in 1973. He spent the majority of his working life in the grocery industry & after 25 years with Cadbury, he was affectionately known as “The Candy Man”. He retired after another 15 yrs with Kraft.
Jim had a great love of music, literature laughter and life. He was a very social man and a masterful storyteller who has touched countless lives with his generosity, kindness & humour.
Jim has asked for donations to be made to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
A Celebration of Life will be held when conditions permit.
