Frances’ Obituary
SURETTE, E. Frances – age 97, Tusket Villa, formerly of Sluice Point, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital, with family by her side. Born in Sluice Point on September 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Actime and Anita (Bourque) Surette. Frances spent almost 50 years working as a homemaker in the United States. She also enjoyed sewing and cooking for her friends and family. In her later years Frances moved to Tusket Villa. Being a devout Catholic she loved attending the daily Mass and recitation of the Rosary. She is survived by her brother, Fred Surette, Sluice Point; and special niece, Jean, Pennsylvania. Besides her parents she was predeceased by siblings Louis Surette, Rose-Emma Sowyrda, Lena Robichaud, Evelyn Comeau, Irene Surette, Marion Surette, Regina Bourque and Thérèse Surette. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, where visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, November 17 with prayers at 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 18 from Holy Family Church, Amirault Hill, Father Albéni d’Entremont officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, seating may be limited at both the funeral home and church and social distancing guidelines must be followed (immediate family will be given priority for seating).
