Obituary of Florence Diana Earle
Passed peacefully away at her residence, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, Florence Earle of Carbonear, age 95 years.
Predeceased by husband: John; parents: James and Jessie Gosse; sons-in-law: Nelson Peddle and William Stone; brothers: William, James, Gordon, and Roy; sisters: Emma, Cavelle, and Violet; parents-in-law: Albert and Jessie Earle.
Leaving to mourn, five daughters: Florence (Gordon) Butt, Carbonear, Evelyn Peddle, Harbour Grace, Marcella Stone (Dave), Harbour Grace, Pearl (George) Tuttle, Shearstown, and Phyllis (Steve) Cull, Carbonear; three sons: Jack (Ivy), Jim, and Don (Betty), all of Carbonear; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Myrtle Reynolds, Carbonear; devoted homecare worker of 10 years, Milly King; family friend: Bernice Clarke; as well a large number of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to staff, 7th floor, Carbonear General Hospital, and nurses who came to her home for daily care.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private visitation will take place at Noel’s Funeral Home, Carbonear. Funeral service on Sunday, December 27 at St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear, by invitation only. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
No flowers by request, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
