1941-2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Ferna Lu Nice of Salt
Springs, NB, announces her passing which occurred on August 1, 2020,
at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on
February 18, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Hazel
(Caudle) Smith.
Ferna is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Albert
“Bud” Nice; children: Linda DeWolfe and her husband
Arthur of Salt Springs, NB, Cindy Cobb and her husband Roy of Salt
Springs, NB, Peter Nice and his wife Leigh of Lamont, AB, Pamela
Nice-King and her husband Matthew of St. Cloud, FL, Andrew Nice and
his wife Michelle of Salt Springs, NB, Chris Nice and his wife
Jennifer of Delisle, SK, Luke Nice and his wife Dawn of Titusville,
NB, and Bonny Densmore and her husband Jonathan of Quispamsis, NB;
brother Paul Smith and his wife Barbara; sister-in-law Betty Smith;
twenty grandchildren; five great grandchildren; as well as several
nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ferna was predeceased
by her brothers Norman and Vance Smith; and sister-in-law Bonnie
Smith.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home
(506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. Visitation will be held
from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, August 7, 2020 from True Life Church, 30
Vincent Rd, Quispamsis, NB. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private
funeral service will be held.
Donations in memory of
Ferna may be made to the Salt Springs Baptist Church, the Gideons or
to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences
