Obituary for
Faye Berta Roode
79, Truro, formerly of Belmont passed away on Christmas Day 2020 in the Mira Nursing Home, Truro. Born in Belmont, she was a daughter of the late James and Rita (Totten) Roode. Faye was a woman of great humour, someone who could make you laugh by just singing a song. She enjoyed playing cards, her favourite game being crazy eights. Faye loved driving to see the sights of Nova Scotia or re-visiting the neighbourhood where she grew up. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and the dance moves she brought anywhere she went. Faye is survived by her daughter, Kim (John Livingstone), Merigomish; grandchildren, Kayla Rushton (Damon Currie), Daniel McLaren (Laura Fraser), Kaitlyn McLaren (Matthew Peppard), all of Truro and Carl Duffy, Merigomish; great grandchildren, Hunter Rushton-Marriott and Charlotte Fraser both of Truro; sister, Geraldine Caverly; brothers, Jimmy Roode and Ray Roode; nieces and nephews. There will be no service at this time. Interment to take place in the spring of 2021 in Belmont Cemetery.
