Elva Gallagher
1956-2020
Following a courageous battle with cancer, Elva Gallagher of
Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph
Hospital on October 19, 2020.
Elva was born in Perth-Andover, NB, on September 19, 1956. She was the
daughter of Doreen Bowmaster (St. Peter) and the late Herman
Bowmaster. Besides her mother, who lives in Morrell Siding, NB, Elva
leaves behind her loving husband of 18 years, Ron Gallagher; her
daughters, Laurie Bowmaster (fiancé Pat Conte) of Toronto, ON,
Leanna Berube of Perth-Andover, NB; her son, Larry Bowmaster (Jessie
Pepperdine) of Perth-Andover, NB; her step-sons, Kristopher Gallagher
(Marguerite) of Kintore, NB, Nick Gallagher (Miranda) of Wainwright,
AB, David Gallagher (Julie) of Perth-Andover, NB, Shawn Gallagher
(Sofia) of Gatineau, QC, Jarret Gallagher of Campobello Island, NB,
Tim Gallagher (Mallory) of Campobello Island, NB; 20 grandchildren;
her sisters, Donna Pickard (Danny) of Holmesville, NB, Eileen Jensen
(Larry) of New Denmark, NB, Linda Pelkey (Gary) of Aroostook, NB; her
brothers, Johnny Bowmaster of Three Brooks, NB, Melvin Bowmaster of
Morrell Siding, NB, Danny Bowmaster (Marielle) of Four Falls, NB,
Peter Bowmaster (Brittany) of Caribou, ME.
Elva was predeceased by her father; her sisters, Barbara Bowmaster,
Judy Brayall, and Ruth Holt.
Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday from 5-8
pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 11 am
from the funeral home. Father Gilbert Doddatto officiating. Interment
will be in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery in Johnville, NB,
at a later date.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Upper River Valley
Autism Resource Center or to the Southern Victoria Cancer Assistance
Fund would be appreciated by the family.
Due to the New Brunswick health guidelines in regards to Covid-19, a
mask is mandatory during the visitation and funeral service.
