Elizabeth ‘Libby’ Ann Crowe (MacCallum) – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister, aunt, great aunt and friend on May 20, 2020. Libby was born on Pictou Island on June 12th, 1939. She was a daughter of the late Duncan and Anna Jane MacCallum. After graduating from Pictou Academy, Libby began her career working at McKenna Drug store in Pictou then moving to Sydney, where she worked at Pollett’s Drug store. After completing a Pharmacy Tech Diploma she worked at Shoppers Drug Mart in both Dartmouth and Scarborough. Following retirement her and her husband, Robert ‘Bobby’ Crowe settled in Toney River. She was an avid reader and loved a good game of cards as well as her visits with her great-great nieces, Olivia and Grace and her many friends. She is survived by her brothers, Martin (Irene), Dartmouth; Brad (Mary), Pictou; nephews, Hal (Tammy) Maybe, Pictou; and Michael (Kelly) MacCallum, Dartmouth; nieces, Jane (Eric) Jobe, Dartmouth; Sarah and Kathleen MacCallum, Pictou; and Manuela Lesperance, London, Ontario; great nephews and great nieces, Austin and Dylan Maybe, Pictou; Jessi Jobe, Dartmouth; Kaitlyn Jobe, Dartmouth; Paxton, Nevan, Jorja MacCallum, Dartmouth; Jenifer, Martin and Melissa Lesperance, London, Ontario. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Crowe; brother, Albert MacCallum and sister, Elda Maybe. Due to COVID 19 restrictions a Service of Remembrance will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.
