RAFTER, Elizabeth Joyce –
Age 85, Dort’s Cove, Guysborough Co., passed
away surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, September 21, 2020, in
the Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Dort’s Cove she
was a daughter of the late William Croft and Margaret Ann (Spanks)
Porter.
Elizabeth was a fun loving and kind, humble person. She loved
her family dearly and they always would come first, they held a dear
spot in her heart. Always an animal lover she would always look out
for the needs of any animal in need.
Surviving are her husband and best friend of 32 years, Ervin;
daughters, Joyce Pinkham, Coddles Harbor; Renata Rodd, Deep River, ON;
son, Perry Pinkham (Jean Fader), Mount Uniacke; brother, Jerome
(Janet) Porter, Dort’s Cove; grandchildren, Chris, Brett,
Devon, Billy, Dametre, Jacqueline (Sam), Alex, David;
great-grandchildren, Jayde, Cohen, Rodney and Maria; sisters-in-law,
Ada Porter and Vi Porter. She was predeceased by sisters, Doris
Taylor, Edith Gammon, Gladys Hulme; brothers, Courtney and Scot;
grandson, Andrew.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday,
September 26th in Dennis Haverstock Funeral
Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September
27th from Wesley United Church, Guysborough
with Rev. Heather Manuel officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen
Cemetery, Guysborough.
Memorial donations may be made to Wesley United Church or to
Save A Life Canada – Animal Rescue at: salcars.ca/donate
