Edward “Ted” Nicholson
1931-2020
It is with great sadness that we
announce the sudden passing of Edward Ridgway
“Ted” Nicholson, 88, of Dorchester, NB at the
Sackville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Born
in Springhill, NS, he was a son of the late Charles Edward Nicholson
and Mary Harriet Andreina Ridgway Nicholson
Ted was a member of “B”
Company Nova Scotia Highlanders (North) leaving with the rank of
Captain
He is survived by his wife of forty-four
years, the former Diane Nicholson, his daughter Megan (ELaine) Doyle,
St. Albert AB, and his two beloved granddaughters Rowan and Linden
Peddle.
Beside his parents he was predeceased by
his brother Murray William Nicholson and his sister Evelyn Hannah
(Nicholson) Cummings both of Springhill.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70
Bridge Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300). Honouring Ted’s
wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no
visitation or services at this time.
Donations in memory of Ted may be made
to the Trinity Anglican Church, Dorchester.
