Edith (Ferguson) Geikie, of Tabusintac Nursing Home, formerly of Newcastle, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 88.
Born in Tracadie, NB, she was the daughter of the late Severe and Mary (Babineau) Ferguson. She was a homemaker and a member of St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Elizabeth Richard (Scotty) of Bartibog Bridge; son Roy Geikie (Sheila) of Miramichi; two sisters Yvette Maillet of Blacks Harbour and Helen Dupont of Fitchberg, Massachussetts; three grandchildren Barry Richard, Bradley Richard, and Meghan Geikie; and four great grandchildren Tyler Richard, Emily Richard, Clare Richard, and Emmett Richard.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Carl Geikie; brother Alex Ferguson; and sister Alma Witherall.
A graveside service will take place at Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery on Thursday, December 3, 2020.
