Obituary of Doris Mary Henriksen
HENRIKSEN, Doris M. “Baby” Stellarton / Pictou
HENRIKSEN, Doris Mary – 96, of Pictou, passed away May 26, 2020. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Mary Jane (Murphy) Jamison. She was an avid reader, sang in the St. James Church choir and belonged to the Anglican Church guild. Doris is survived by her daughters, Diana Wakeham, Fredericton, NB. ; Carolyn Johnston, Spruce Grove, Alberta; Linda Henderson, Stellarton, Charlotte (Barry) Hooley, Calgary, Alberta; Janet (Raymond) MacKenzie, Scotsburn; sons, Joseph and David, both of Wasagah Beach, Ontario; sister, Audrey Keddy, Lunenburg; 26 grandchildren; 31 great- grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Knud “Joe” Henriksen; daughter, Nancy Knowles; son, Knud Jr.; and sister, Mildred Woodworth. Cremation has taken place. Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be no visitation or service. A graveside service will be held in St. James Cemetery on Tuesday, June 2nd at 1 PM.
