WILLARD (Lowry), Doris Marguerite (nee
Robinson)
Passed away peacefully at the age of 98 at St.
Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph on Tuesday, December 22,
2020. Doris was a dedicated and loving mother to 11,
grandmother to 24, and great-grandmother to 35. She will be lovingly
remembered by her children Susan Elliott (Colin), Brian Lowry, Kevin
Lowry, daughter-in-law Joan Lowry, Allyn Willard (Mary), Gerald
Willard (Dorris), Beryl McDougall (John), Gayle Calhoun (Bob) Shirley
Rushton (Brian), and Stuart Willard (Monique), along with numerous
other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her
loving husbands, Irving E. Willard (1996) and James W. Lowry (1970);
sons Robert J. Lowry (2009) and Geoffrey Willard (2014); grandson
Aaron C. Elliott (2010); her parents Wilfred and Jessie Robinson;
brother W. Frank (2010) and sister-in-law Frances Robinson
(2020).
In addition to her family, Doris dedicated many hours of
service to the United Church Women, Sunday School, Junior
farmers’ and Women’s Institute in her younger
years.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private
family ceremony and interment will take place when family can come
together again. Special thanks to the wonderful and
caring staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre
Guelph. If desired, memorial contributions to CNIB
or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
