Obituary of Donald Thomas O’Brien
On Saturday, December 19, 2020, Donald (Dinny) Thomas O’Brien, of Thorndale, Ontario, passed away peacefully at the age of 91, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his wife Joan Virgina O’Brien (2004). Father to Peter (Hannelore) O’Brien, Allison O’Brien, Patrick (Cassandra) O’Brien. Brother of Laura Mounier of France, Paula Bejamic of Windsor. Grandfather of Lori (Chris) Dietrich, Heather (Marco) Di Murro, Jake (Alysha) O’Brien, Shane & Scott Howard, Vanessa & Fraser Kenney and great-grandfather to twelve. Predeceased by his parents John and Ann O’Brien, and sisters Marla Kirk, Joan Corsaut and Joyce Carpenter.
Donald retired from Overland Express and the Teamsters Union with over 34 years of service as a regional driver for Southern Ontario. Retired for 32 years, he enjoyed the simple things in life, camping and travel, watching his family grow, a good Scotch and a cold beer.
Cremation has taken place. Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery in London, Ontario at a later date.
